After several very “clean” and primary-colored summer stage designs we were quite the ready for a more organic, nature-filled, “autumn leaves” type environment for our November GRATEFUL series @Ginghamsburg.
One very hot day early in September, team guys Doug and Clark drove to a lumber mill in southern Ohio to fetch a pick-up truck full of free-for-the-taking bark-edged scrap lumber. It was really just the perfect material to create our woodsy environment.
Meet Brianna the Intern and Greg the Graphics Guy.
After Brianna, Greg and I enjoyed a fun photo shoot in Todd and Trish McKinney’s backyard we felt TOTALLY smitten with forest fever.
Pencils to sketch paper –
nails, drills, lights and stumps assembled…
our makeover design team servants spent long hours working super hard to give this set design our absolute best shot.
Strong women with power tools.
Throw in an upholstered piano shell…
…some entryway bark
…landscape burlap, leaves, stumps and crates
…a tree trunk podium
…a harvest table for the final week – along with a few swanky rugs
…and an eclectic array of sconces over old wood.
After all was said and done there was no one more GRATEFUL for that team and God’s goodness than this very tired girl.
I have found my niche in the big space of Ginghamsburg. …….can’t wait till I retire to spend more time creating and putting together your God dreams, Kim!
